Zehn was founded to address the mental health needs of Muslims in America, with special emphasis on Muslim refugees, whose mental health needs are often overlooked, misdiagnosed, and, thus, mostly unmet.

In dealing with high levels of displacement, prolonged conflict, persecution, loss, and trauma, refugees often have very high mental health needs that are complex and require multiple mediums of support. Traditional Western therapy is also unable to cater to or relate to the unique experiences of this population, often leaving them with a greater sense of being the outsider.

Zehn Mental Health is a registered Nonprofit Organization founded by Farhan Haque, a senior at Princeton Day School.

Zehn is currently operating in the USA & India and with 5 partner organizations directly to support the organizations dealing supporting the refugees.

Zehn’s app version is an extension of the NGO, used additionally by partner organizations in an effort to provide more awareness and support to Muslims across the globe.
